Caroline Louise Porter (Lyons)

Caroline Louise Porter (Lyons) a long time resident of Dos Palos, went from this life into heaven on Thursday November 3, 2016 after a long illness. Carrie was surrounded by her family at the end, she was 58 years old. 

Carrie was born December 18, 1957 in Oakland California, the daughter of Carl and Mary (Giomi) Candellaria, she was the youngest of Mary's seven children.

Carrie attended schools in Dos Palos and graduated high school in Grass Valley California. At the time of her death she was a homemaker, Carrie worked 19 years for Merced County in Home Services as a caretaker for the elderly.

The last few years Carrie's greatest joy was watching her great grandson Jaxson, age five, they would sit all day watching cartoons, Carrie reading to Jaxson and of course eating snacks.

Carrie was a wonderful person an amazing companion, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by family and friends. She will live forever in our hearts.

Carrie was proceeded in death by her mother Mary and father Carl Candellaria, sister and brother in law Shirley and Manuel Soares, brothers Joe and Ben Candellaria and stepson Ted Lyons. She leaves to cherish her memory her companion of twenty three years Joe Lyons, brothers Dominic Manfredi, Dale Candellaria, sister Carlee Pool, Nephews Gary Candellaria, Mark and Mike Soares, step daughters Elizabeth and Jean LaBell, five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and many other family members and friends. 

A memorial service will be held for Carrie at Fierro Family Funeral Home in Dos Palos on November 19, 2016 at 2 PM.
