Donald Earl Cantrell Sr 76, a native of Dos Palos, Ca. peacefully went home to be with our Lord on April 3rd 2017 at his daughters home.
He was surrounded by the love of his life Joann his wife of 55 years as well as many other loved ones.
Don was born on February 1, 1941, he was the youngest of five children to William Everett Cantrell and Beatrice Elaine Turner Cantrell.

Don was a graduate of Dos Palos High School, Class of 1959. It was there he met Joann. They soon fell in love and were married. In 1962 they started a family welcoming a daughter Kim, and two years later a son Donnie "Guy".  Don was an amazing husband, father, and papa. He was a good, honest and hard working man, a real diamond in the rough. Donnie cherished family time, and visiting with friends. He never met a stranger, and all who knew him loved him. He loved serving the Lord and working for his church and community. Don loved being outside, working in his yard and also enjoyed working on other various projects. You could always find him with a glass of tea or cup of coffee in hand. He was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off of his back if you needed it. He was the voice of reason to many, and always had encourging words to share for all who needed it. Don loved to laugh, joke and tease, and he always had a story to tell. Don spent his life working as a parts man, most will remember him at S.A.I.S, he was there for over 20 years helping the community with all of thier needs and always did so with a warm and welcoming smile.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, a sister Geri and brothers Bill, Vic and Tommy, and his son Donnie Jr.
He is survived by his Wife Joann. A daughter Kimberly Huckobey her spouse Steven. His daughter in law Tina Cantrell. His grandchildren Amy Huckobey, Danae Zimmerman and spouse Brandon, Donald Cantrell III and spouse Jaimie, and Lucas Huckobey. His Great Grandchildren Hunter Maron, Kylie Cantrell, Landon Cantrell, and Everett Zimmerman. Two sister in laws Virginia Moss and Barbara Hart and spouse Roy, a brother in law Stanley McDaniels and spouse Marylou. Nieces Cheryle McCullough and son Bronson, Elna Ermel and spouse Ron, Janet Fontenot and spouse Ron, Verna Bright and spouse Randy, Robin Clayton and spouse Connley . His newphews Roy Hart Jr. and son Connor, Ryan Hart, Marlin Smith and spouse Sandie, Billy Cantrell and spouse Tamera. Amoung many other nieces, newphews and cousins out of city and state.

Service will be held on April 18th 2017 at the Methodist Church in Dos Palos at 11:00 am
Please join us in celebrating his life at The Cantrell Party Barn following the service.
