Jearldene Rebecca Faria

Jearldene “Jerrie” Rebecca Faria was called home to our heavenly father on November 23, 2016, in Modesto, CA. She was born on May 26th, 1932 in Valley View, Texas to Connie Clyde “Dyke” and Ada Austin. She lived in Dos Palos most of her life.

Jearldene loved her dog “Boo Boo”, hummingbirds, raising her flowers, and word searches. She was family oriented, had lots of friends, and loved to cook, her favorite thing to make was Portuguese beans. For many years, she was a truck driver and before that she used to haul hay with her husband for the local dairy men, when she retired, she traveled for a while and took a cruise which she said was the highlight of her life. She was a lovely woman, who will be missed by her friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents Connie Clyde “Dyke” and Ada Austin, her husband John Faria, and her sons Joseph Faria, Steven Faria, John J. Faria, and her brother Steve Davis” Butch” Austin. Jearldene is survived by her daughter Rhonda James and her husband Johnnie James, her brother Les Austin and his wife Ingrid Austin, her granddaughter Rebecca James, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Thursday, December 1st, 2016 at Fierro Family Funeral Home 1702 Golden Gate Ave. in Dos Palos, CA from 10:00 am – 10:30 am, followed by internment at Dos Palos District Cemetery 1800 Elgin Ave. in Dos Palos, CA.
