Jeriene entered the kingdom of God on August 10, 2016. She was 78 years old. She was born Liddia Jeriene Longacre to Iva and Clarence Longacre in Martinez, California on December 19, 1937.
Jeriene devoted her life to caring for others. After raising five children as a homemaker, she relocated to Arkansas in the 1970s. While living there, she kept her passion for serving others alive and became part-owner of a boarding home offering hospitality services for twelve years.  Jeriene always put others above herself, so when the time came to sell the boarding home, she continued her life’s work in service as a counselor for recovering alcoholics at the Hope House in Batesville, Arkansas. She also worked as a nursing assistant during that time at Beverly Enterprises.
Upon moving back to California in the 1990s, she continued serving others as a waitress at her family’s restaurant here in Dos Palos called the Palm Café. In her free time, Jeriene liked to take care of her garden, sew, and crochet items for her grandchildren.
Jeriene was preceded in death by her mother and father, Iva Jordan (2001) and Clarence Longacre (1953), five brothers: Clarence Junior Longacre (1996), Charles Thomas Longacre (2005) Clifford Ray Longacre (1998), Cecil Gary Longacre, (2013) and Clyde Richard Longacre (2014). She was also preceded in death by her son, David A. Brownlee (1993), granddaughter, Marcie Brown (2015) , great-grandson Michael Brown (2016).
Jeriene is survived by her sister, Lucille Peoples of Las Vegas, Nevada and four daughters: Connie McDaniel husband Bill McDaniel of Merced, Brenda Brownlee of Missouri, Sandra Vasquez of Merced and Dianna Allen husband, Brian Allen of Hawaii, twelve grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, and two great- great-grandchildren.
