Candelario Salcido Martinez was born On Feb. 24, 1930 in Durango, Mexico and died at the age of 88 years old on Jan.3, 2019 at 3pm in Madera, CA. He married the love of his life Dora Chavez on March 12, 1954, and had a total of 12 children, 35 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. He was a truly blessed man and loved by everyone that had the privilege to meet him.

He migrated to the states when he was a teenager and retired at the age of 62 and lived in both California and Durango during the year. He loved his hometown in Mexico where he enjoyed working his land and raising different type of farm animals. He was such a giving man that the community knew that they could always count on him. Everyone that had the privilege of spending time with him will always have many stories to tell.
