Clarence James Redding was born December 28, 1930 in Jasper, Florida to the parents of Maggie & Samuel Redding SR. At an early age his family moved to Tifton, Georgia where he was educated and played High school football, Which he was very proud of and often told his Nephews stories about the game. Clarence served in the United States Army and served in the Korean war in 1962. Clarence relocated to Dos Palos, California. Clarence worked at the Textlil Company in Dos Palos when it was in operation and he worked at the South Dos Palos Head Start retiring after 20 years. Clarence met and married the love of his life Ruth Evans in February 1978. When Pete became ill his wife Ruth was there to take care of him until his death. A few months ago when he was in the hospital he was asked if he knew the Lord his words "Oh Lord yeah I know the Lord ." Clarence went home to meet the Lord and his other family members on Nov 8th, 2017 in Los Banos, California.

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents Maggie & Samuel Redding SR, Two brothers Joseph and Samuel Redding JR and one sister Dorothy Chapel.

Clarence leaves to cherish his loving memories, His wife of 39yrs Ruth of Dos Palos, Son Landrum Redding of New York, Stepson Lester(Rita) Evans of Louisiana, Godson Freddie Lewis of Sacramento, Ca, Nieces Mary Jo(Roy Lee) Green of Los Banos, Maria Marshall of Fresno,Ca, Nephews Ronald Redding of Dos Palos, Ca Howard(Juanita) Redding of Dos Palos, Ca. He also leaves behind 2 great niece 3 great nephews ,1 great-great nephew and also a host  of family and friends.

Funeral Service will be Friday November 17, 2017 at 11:00 am at Mt. Moriah Church.
