Gene Westbrook

Gene Westbrook passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 25, 2019.He was born on May 25, 1934 to Ernest and Wanda Westbrook.

Gene graduated from Dos Palos High School and married his first wife Geneva Plowman in 1956, together they had a son Ernest Westbrook. They separated shortly after. In 1958 he took s job at the Seaside Fire Department, he remained there for a couple of years before returning to Dos Palos in 1960. In 1961 he married the love of his life Mary Francis Coleman and together they raised three daughters Donna, Dana, and Gina and one son Ernest until her passing in 1991. Most of his life Gene was in the hay and cotton business, he worked for the Dos Palos Co-op Gin where he retired from as an assistant superintendent, he was also self employed in the hay business with his son Ernest. He loved to spend his free time with his best friend Henry Westbrook playing golf and joining friends at the Servatorium. He was also a lifetime member of the Lyons Club.

Gene leaves behind to cherish his memory his current wife Janice Westbrook, his son Ernest Westbrook, and daughters Donna Gomez and Gina Alfaro. He was preceded in death by his daughter Dana Westbrook, his parents Ernest and Wanda Westbrook and the love of his life Mary Francis Westbrook.
