Joann Cantrell

Joann was born on January 24, 1944 in Fresno, CA. She was raised in Firebaugh, Ca and attended high school in Dos Palos where she met Don Cantrell the love of her life. She was a beloved wife of nearly 55 years and a wonderful mother of two children. Joann was a loving home maker and she also worked as a nursing assistant. Her life was centered around her family who meant the world to her. On any given day you could find her sitting at her kitchen table laughing and drinking her family famous ice tea. She never let the pitcher be empty for too long. She was very strong in her faith and shared her love for the Lord to her family. She was as genuine as they come, and had the warmest of hearts. She was loved by many. She was a sweet and caring Grandmother, sister, aunt, great grandmother and friend.

She is preceded in death by her husband Don Cantrell Sr, son Donnie Cantrell Jr, sister Virginia Moss, mother Essie Hasley, along with her brother in-law John Moss and nephew in-law Russell McCullough. She is survived by her daughter Kim Huckobey, son in-law Steve, daughter in- law Tina Cantrell, grand children Amy Huckobey, Danae Zimmerman and spouse Brandon, Donald Cantrell lll and spouse Jaimie and Lucas Huckobey, Sister Barbara Hart and spouse Roy, brother Stanly McDaniel and spouse Marylou, nephews Roy Hart Jr, Ryan Hart, Connar Hart and Bronson McCullough, Niece Cheryl Moss McCullough, Great grand children Hunter Marin, Kylie Cantrell, Landon Cantrell, Everett Zimmerman and Kamryn Cantrell.

With a heavy heart we said goodbye to our Joann on December 9, 2017 when she peacefully went home to be with our lord.

A memorial service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church 302 West K street Los Banos, Ca on January 13, 2018 at 11:00 Am. Service will be officiated by Pastor Paul Steinhaur.
