Johnny Nelson Hines JR

Johnny Nelson Hines Jr.(Slim), age 73, passed away on January 06, 20 1 8 in the company of his loving family in Dos Palos, CA. Slim was born on December 02, 1944 in Bogalusa, Louisiana to the late Marjorie Cashmere and Johnny Nelson Hines Sr. Slim attended schools in Louisiana but lived most of his life in Dos Palos, CA. He was employed by Dos Palos Co-Op Gin for 30-years and with Town & Country Market for 20-years.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father Marjorie Cashmere and Johnny Hines Sr., brothers Stanley Bolton and Anthony Bunch both of Louisiana.

He is survived by the love of his life Exzetta Carbonel, son Johnny Nelson Hines Ill of Dos Palos, Maragret Carbonel, Leo Carbonel, Anthony Nunn, Adrian Nunn and Sonja Culps. Sisters Loretta Bunch of LA, Selina Bunch of LA, LaBertta Bunch of LA, Florence Ford of FL and Brothers Brewster Samson of VA and Udell Bunch of LA. He leaves behind grandchildren Jaycee Hines and Jasmine Hines of Easton, Courtney Carbonel, Sheena Carbonel, Isaiah Carbonel, Korey Carbonel, Jilana Nunn, Garrett Nunn, Sarah Sinks, Jillian Pigg, and a host of family and friends. Slim was known for his dedication and many years of hard work and for the many that knew him well, for never being able to bite his tongue. He will be greatly missed.

A Visitation will be held on Friday January 12, 2018 at 10AM, Funeral Services will begin at 11AM followed by burial at Dos Palos District Cemetery
