Joseph Orlando

Joseph Orlando passed away November 11, 2018 surrounded by his loving family, Joe was born on December 30, 1922 to his Italian parents Michael and Sarafina Orlando in Dos Palos, Ca. Joe was a dairyman and cotton farmer, and for many years he also owned Orlando Grocery on Merrill Ave. in Dos Palos. Although he tried different careers, in his heart he was always a cotton farmer. Joe enjoyed the simple things in life; family dinners and holidays, watching football on T.V. and walking his dog, Ms. Kelly.   Lately, he loved going to Table Mountain on Sundays and Veteran meetings on Monday and he was able to enjoy these activities because of the passionate involvement of his many caregivers.   He also enjoyed traveling and  on his last trip he went on a Honors Flight with son Mike to see the National War Memorials. Joe was a long time member of the American Legion, Rotary and and was very proud to be a school board member in Dos Palos.

Joe leaves behind to cherish his memory,  his son Mike and his wife Jo Orlando, his son Paul Orlando and his husband Randy Kaplan, grandchild Jon and his wife Valerie Orlando and great grandchild Ryan Anthony Joe is preceded in death by his wife June Orlando, his sons Jim and Jack Orlando, his parents Michael and Sarafina Orlando and  brothers Tony, Fred, Ace and Andy Orlando. 

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be sent to St. Agnes Hospice, 6729 N. Willow # 103 Fresno, Ca 93710.

Funeral Services will be held Monday November 19, 2018 beginning with viewing at 10am, followed by a service at 10:30am at the Methodist Church in Dos Palos: 1934 Marguerite St. (at Golden Gate) Dos Palos 93620.  A reception will follow graveside services at the American Legion Hall.
