Willie Marie James

Willie Marie James, 61 years of age, passed on December 30, 2017 at the Los Banos Memorial Hospital. Marie was born on July 11, 1956 in Merced, CA to late Willie and Mildred Clark. Marie spent most of her life in Dos Palos, CA where she attended elementary, junior, and high school. Over the years she was employed for the local textile mill, the IRS in Sacramento, CA, IHSS and Life Time Doors in Los Banos, CA.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Willie and Mildred Clark, her sisters Dorothy and Barbara Clark, her brothers Granson and Gene Clark, sister-in-law Debbie Clark, her mother-in-law Geraldine James and father-in-law Joe James, her daughter Kenisha James and granddaughter Nevaeh Walker.

She is survived by her husband of over forty years, Kenneth James. Their eldest daughter, Brandy James and her husband Albert Walker of Dos Palos, CA. Daughter, DeAnna James of Dos Palos, CA. Eldest son Kenny James and his wife Reetu Ghumman of Seattle. Her youngest son Marcus James (Stephanie) of Seattle, WA. Her sister Mary Elizabeth (Muffy) and Charles Walker of Dos Palos, CA and Her brother, Clarence Clark of Dos Palos, CA. She leaves behind five beautiful grandkids; Kailan Hill, Tianna Walker, Tre Walker, Tyree Martin and Zaybien Walker and great-grand daughter Peyton Hill. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Marie had a contagious smile and laugh that filled the room. She enjoyed cookouts, fish frys, and BBQ’s with her family. She was known for hitting the dance floor and her regular visits to the local Bingo hall. Above all, Marie could be found spending quality time in the company of her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by those who’s lives she touched.

Visitation will be held Monday January 8th 2018 at Fierro Family Funeral Home beginning at 10am with service to follow at 11am. Burial will be at Dos Palos District Cemetery following the service. Family and friends are invited after the graveside service for repass at Dale Hale Hall.
