Armando Herrera Obituary

 

Armando Hector Herrera, 64, of Firebaugh, California, passed away on March 2, 2021 in Fresno, California. Armando was born in Fresno, California to Vicente and Nellie Herrera on July 3, 1956.

He went to primary and intermediate school in Firebaugh, California, attended high school in Dos Palos, California, and college at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He married Yvonne Perez Herrera on April 23, 1988, in Firebaugh, California. On November 29, 1990, their son Vicente Armando Herrera was born. Armando worked in agriculture for 45 years primarily at Cardella Ranch. Armando enjoyed nature and was an avid reader. He lived up to the meaning of his name Armando, meaning to build in Spanish, constantly tinkering with cars and anything mechanical. 

Armando is preceded in death by his father, Vicente Herrera, and sister, Lydia Jimenez. Armando is survived by his wife, Yvonne Perez Herrera, sons, Bernardo Suazo and Vicente Armando Herrera, daughter, Gracie Suazo, siblings, Rudolph Herrera, Gilbert Herrera, Angelica Martin, Jose Herrera, Leticia Hernandez, and Mario Herrera, five grandchildren, 13 nieces and nephews, and nine great-nieces and nephews. 

The family of Armando wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the Cardella family, Fierro Family Funeral Home, and others for their kind generosity. Services will be at 11:00am, March 12th, 2021 at Fierro Family Funeral Home, 1702 Golden Gate Ave, Dos Palos, CA 93620.
