Charles Walker Jr. Obituary

Charles Edward Walker, Jr. fondly known by the nicknames; Chuckie, Chuck, Charlie or Big Chuck, was born in Santa Clara, California on May 29, 1981, to Charles Edward Walker and Mary Elizabeth Walker. Growing up, Chuck spent ample time between San Jose and Dos Palos. While in Dos Palos, Chuck attended the family church; Jesus Name Temple and was baptized on August 18, 2013.

While attending schools in San Jose, Chuck picked up the sport of tennis at a young age thanks to his 3rd-grade teacher and principal. He also enjoyed riding his bike around the neighborhood, playing street hockey, baseball, skateboarding and roller skating. And for his size, he was quite nimble on his feet.  In 1995 the family relocated to Los Banos, CA and Chuck began his football career at Dos Palos High.  While attending Dos Palos High as a freshman, Chuck also participated in basketball and track and field as a thrower but got talked into doing high hurdles ONCE.  He never participated in track again. Chuck also attended Los Banos High where he also participated in football and basketball. In1998, the family relocated to Sacramento, California where he attended Valley High School for his Senior Year, there again, playing football for the Vikings. After graduating high school, Charles attended Sacramento City College and was a student-athlete playing football there for 2 years.

Chuck relocated back to Central Valley in 2008 and remained there raising his children until March 2021 when he moved to Washington. During his adult years, Chuck loved to spend his time socializing with family and friends, cooking, barbecuing, and playing video games online with his boys. All year long you could catch him reading up on or watching his Dallas Cowboys (How about dem Cowboys) and Boston Celtics. But above all, Chuck was a devoted father. Always making sure he’d spend time with his kids whether it was coaching Lathan on his football skills, assisting Alayah with her art skills or just hanging out with his Super-Duper Tehya.

On July 2, 2022, Chuck transitioned home. He was preceded in passing by his mother, Mary Elizabeth Walker; maternal grandparents: Willie and Mildred Clark; paternal grandparents: Elmer and Zenobia Walker.

Chuck leaves to cherish his memories; his father Charles Walker, Sr of Renton, WA; his children Alayah Walker and Lathan Walker (Quenta Givens), of Renton, WA; daughter Tehya Taylor (Nesha Marshall) of San Jose, CA; Sisters Nicole Pierce of Roy, WA; Erica Walker of Renton, WA; brother Eric Walker of  Renton WA; brother-in-law William Pierce of Roy, WA; nephews, Tarron Blackmon and Edward Pierce; nieces Jada Walker, Avery Walker, Kaiya Walker; Faith Pierce; 2 great-nieces; Jaylene and Riley, 1 great-nephew Sebastian; and companion Deetria Hazewood; in addition to a host of  aunts; uncles; cousins, and friends
