Geanetta Mays Obituary

Geanetta was a caring person who had good words to say about everybody. Her smile was infectious and she never met a stranger. She always invited everyone to be a part of our family. She would often say, ‘if you don’t have anything nice to say then don’t say anything at all. Geanetta was born on December 27th, 1950 to the late Lola Mae Lewis & Eugene Harris in Longview, TX. Geanetta relocated to Dos Palos, California as a young child. She graduated from Dos Palos High School in 1968 and relocated to the Bay Area. Geanetta took pride in raising her two daughters Tammy and Alesha Allen. After raising her daughters Geanetta spent her days caring for her grandchildren Shantell and Davante. Geanetta enjoyed working in catering which was her passion, she loved to cook and could always be found in the kitchen preparing some family favorites fried chicken and lemon cake. Geanetta is proceeded in death by her loving mother Lola Mae Lewis, father Eugene Harris, brother Billy Joe Lewis, Sister Candi Brown, and daughter Alesha Allen. She leaves to cherish her precious memories of daughter Tammy Anderson (Andre), Three sisters Carolyn Franklin (Ronnie), Barbara Walker (Fred), and Wila Brown. Three brothers Willie Lewis (Loretta), David Brown, and Dan Brown. One sister-in-law Darlene Lewis. Three granddaughters Shantell Allen, Mariah Barney, and, Jazmine Anderson. Three grandsons Marcus Bradley (Christina), Dominique Anderson (Christina), and, Davante Wade. Seven great-grandchildren Madyson, Shyne, Sumaria, Aaron, Xander, Sammy, and Austin. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
