Gonzalo or Kiro, as many people knew him; was born in Mercedes, Texas, on the afternoon of October 5, 1936. In Fresno, California, the evening of January 12th , 2024, Gonzalo was called home. He was born to Gonzalo Sr and Encarnacion and was the oldest of his nine siblings. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy in Texas. Once his military career concluded, he traveled from California to other states to work. He had begun to create a family life for himself. He married, had children, and settled in Dos Palos, CA, where he worked and eventually retired from Anderson Clayton. Some of the things Gonzalo enjoyed most were football, fishing, westerns, and music. The beloved Oakland Raiders; Deep-Sea Fishing, John Wayne “The Duke,” and The King, the one and only Elvis. He is survived by his children: Corey, Nora, Oscar, and Melissa; grandchildren: Nicholas, Kiley, Tanner, Aubrianna, Isaiah, Angelina, and Gabriel. He also has six great-grandchildren. Viewing will be held on Friday, January 26th, 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dos Palos from 10 am- 10:30 am. Rosary and mass immediately after. The burial will be at Dos Palos Cemetery commencing at 12:30 pm.
