Louis G Espino

Louis Espino, a lifelong resident of Dos Palos, was born to Rutilo and Elena Espino in Hollister, California, on August 13, 1939.  With profound sadness we announce his passing on October 27, 2019, after 80 full and wonderful years.

Louis attended Dos Palos schools and was proud to serve in the US Army from which he received an Honorable Discharge in 1967 after two years of service.

The consummate salesman, Louis worked in hardware sales, primarily at Mumby’s Hardware.  He was a member of the American Legion and Odd Fellows, but Louis was most known for his helpful hand, big heart, gregariousness, and ready laugh.  He loved his Broncos and Bulldogs and constantly looked for the best in all of us.  There were tamales and burritos for all, whenever he had the opportunity, and he always had a story to tell, a joke to share, or a smile to brighten someone's day.

Louis found true happiness and love in his wife, Alicia, when they married on October 28, 1966.  Louis and Alicia proudly raised their only child, Michael, in Dos Palos.  He was equally overjoyed with his daughter-in-law, Jennifer, and his two beloved grandchildren, Spencer and Samantha.  Michael and his family reside in Fort Worth, TX.

Louis is preceded in death by his parents, and most familiar to Dos Palos, his brothers, Frank and Leo, and sisters Carmel and Mary. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, 364 days, Alicia; his son, Michael and his family; his brothers, George, Jess, and Richard; and his sister, Dolores.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 10 AM on Friday November 1, 2019  at Sacred Heart Catholic Church followed by Funeral Mass at 11 AM..
