Her family relocated to Topeka, Ks when she was just a teenager. She attended high school but dropped out in her junior year with the determination to earn opposed to learn, she set the mark as a real go getter. After a short marriage to a husband who was killed in a motorcycle accident she needed a way out, arriving in Oakland, CA living with a cousin, there she found her calling. She found herself as a meat wrapper and butcher with major food store Safeway. Upon retirement she afforded three homes and lived a joy fulfilling life in San Jose. There is where she met Charles (Chuck) Brisco and later married. The two of them moved to Los Banos and spent several wonderful years together.
