Maria Guadalupe Torres

Our beloved Mother Maria Guadalupe "Lupe" Torres, 76, passed on December 11th, 2021, in Yuma, Az.  

"Lupe" was born June 26, 1945, in Linares Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Augustina and Jose Brigido Veraza. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother. Lupe always loved when her children and grandchildren would all get together as it was always a happy event and brought joy to her heart seeing the family together. She was a great homemaker and well-known seamstress. Lupe never said "no" when someone would ask if she could fix or make them a dress for prom or their wedding, or just fix anything that was asked of her.  Lupe could pretty much mend anything that you took her, and her clients were always happy with the outcome of her work.  Even when Lupe was not feeling well or already had other orders upfront pending, she would never turn anyone away.  She was "loved" by everyone for she always had a pleasant smile on her face that would light up the room anywhere she went.  Lupe never hesitated to help others when needed for she had a heart of gold and brought love and laughter to everyone she met. She was devoted to her loving husband Salvador and children and always happy when she was surrounded by her grandchildren.  She was married to the love of her life Salvador for 57 years and they went everywhere together. Lupe and Salvador had a love for dancing and were well known for being "GREAT" dancers that everyone would love to watch as they danced around on the dance floor.  Lupe loved all her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren unconditionally and would always tell them that when they went to see her or called her on the phone.  She was an "exceptional" mother, grandmother and great- grandmother who will truly be missed by all whose lives she touched. She is survived by her 4 children: Salvador Torres Jr, Sylvia A. Sandoval, Maria G. Garcia, and Belinda G. Iniguez, 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Sisters: Juanita Garza, Faustina Garcia, Rosa Maria Medina, Susana Stillman, Diana Longoria, Rebecca Rodriguez. She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Salvador Torres, her parents Augustina and Jose Brigido Veraza, and Siblings Marianna Veraza and Maria Olga Herrera. A Visitation will be held on Monday, January 3rd, 2022, at Fierro Family Funeral Home 1702 Golden Gate Avenue, Dos Palos California 93620. Wake is from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Rosary at 6:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, January 4th, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Fierro Family Funeral Home with a Graveside Service to follow at Los Banos Cemetery 16575 Center Avenue, Los Banos California 93635.
