Mary Elizabeth Walker

Mary Elizabeth Walker, more affectionally known as Muffie was born in Holly Bluff, Mississippi on November 21, 1954, to Willie & Mildred Clark. In 1955, the family relocated to Dos Palos, California where Mary attended the local schools and was a member of Jesus Name Temple under Elder Marion Sanders. During her youth, she spent many summers and vacations back in Holly Bluff. In 1978, Mary met Charles Walker & together they relocated to San Jose, California. To this union 4 children were born; 2 girls; Nicole & Erica and 2 boys; Charles Jr. & Eric. While in San Jose, Mary worked at a few places, National Semiconductor, Adidas, and Apple to name a few but her most fulfilling job was while she was at Mariposa Lodge, a women's recovery and treatment facility where she was a driver and program assistant.

In 2007, Mary and Charles moved back to Dos Palos and rejoined Jesus Name Temple under the tutelage of Elder Harris, Minister Powers & Evangelist Price. Sister Muffie was an active member of the church board and devoted her free time to organizing church fundraisers, gatherings and assisting with community outreach. Mary also enjoyed spending time with her family, whether it was cooking, fishing, organizing family holiday dinners, or attending all the sporting events of her children, nieces, and nephews. She was very well known for her family-oriented personality and her loving, giving heart.

Mary was called home on September 4, 2021. She was preceded in passing by her parents, Willie & Mildred Clark, mother-in-law Zenobia Walker, sisters Dorothy Mae Clark, Barbara Ann Clark, Willie Marie James, and brothers Granson Clark and Gene Clark. Muffie leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 43 years Charles Walker, brother; Clarence Clark (Carol Clark) of Sacramento, CA; daughters Nicole Pierce and Erica Walker of Renton, WA, sons Charles Walker Jr and Eric Walker of Renton, WA, son-in-law William Pierce of Renton, WA; goddaughters Shantel Pelote, of Sacramento, CA, Olivia Walker of Dos Palos, CA, 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; and as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
