Melissa Marie Medeiros

Melissa Marie (Sousa) Medeiros was born March 16, 1981, in Dos Palos, CA, and passed away February 11, 2023, in Modesto, CA. Melissa worked for Merced Office of Education as a teacher for 20 years. She held a Master’s degree and two teaching credentials (multiple subject and moderate to severe). Melissa was also proud of her accomplishments outside of the classroom as she was a wonderful mother, wife, sister and daughter.

Melissa is preceded in death by her father, John Sousa, and grandparents, Jose and Maria Sousa and Joe and Maria Rita. Melissa leaves behind her husband Monte “Shane”; her daughters Samara and Brinley; mother Carmen; brother Gary (Wendy); sister Lisa (Mike), and her nephews Ethan and Evan.

Melissa was loved by all of those who were blessed to know her.
