On July 26, 2024, Nicanora Galindo, a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away in her Dos Palos residence surrounded by her loved ones. Nicanora is preceded in death by her mother Claudia Alvizo Castillo, her father Simon Castillo, her three brothers Reymundo, Vicent, and Simon Castillo, her two sons Lorenzo and Martin Valdez, and her grandson Carlos Lorenzo Galindo.
Nicanora is survived by her three sisters Maria Angulo, Lupe Castillo, and Flavia Ramirez, her three children Mary Angel Kelley, Claudia Servin ( spouse Javier Servin) and Carlos Galindo, her nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, her one great great granddaughter, and so many more who called her grandma.
Nicanora was known as a generous, light-hearted and compassionate soul. She loved the simple things in life and spending time with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren. Nicanora was always someone who loved anyone who came through her doors, and loved to help those in need. Nicanora leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience and cherished memories that will be carried in the hearts of all those she left behind.
Though Nicanora may no longer be with us in the physical sense, the impact she made on our lives will forever remain. May she rest in eternal peace. We are sincerely grateful to the many friends and family who have given us so much gratitude and comfort during this time of loss.
