Phyllis Jones

Phyllis Jones, beloved mother to Dwayne Jones (Melinda) and Kevin Jones (Mary Ann), and wife of 57 years to Jerry, all of Dos Palos, CA,  passed away peacefully at her home in Dos Palos on June 7, 2024, leaving a void her family cannot fill.

Phyllis was born in Los Banos, CA on March 2, 1948, to Harvey and Bessie Norman, and attended local schools. Phyllis worked for the Dos Palos-Ora Loma School District for 19 years at Bryant Middle School where she made many lifelong friends and had a tremendous impact on many children. Phyllis was a devoted Nana to Kacy Jones, Travis Jones, and Jared Jones, her pride and joys. She always said their birth changed her life for the better, and they felt that in the love and support she provided. Phyllis took special joy in celebrating holidays with family, and had many decorations, both inside and outside, to prove her love of family getting together during those times.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her father Harvey Norman, her Mother Bessie Norman, her brothers James Norman, and Leonard Norman, and her sister Frances Belcher. She is survived by her husband Jerry Jones, her sons Dwayne and Kevin Jones, her grandchildren Kacey Jones, Travis Jones, and Jared Jones, who will never forget the love she brought to their lives.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Fierro Family Funeral Home at 11:30am and a Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at the dos Palos District Cemetery at 1:00pm with a reception to follow at the Dos Palos Scout Hut.
