Rebecca S Rodriguez

Rebecca S. Rodriguez, age 55, passed away on December 17th, 2020, at Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital in Hollister, CA, with her husband Joel Rodriguez and son Joel Salomon Rodriguez by her side. She was born on June 22nd, 1965, in Merced, CA, to Luis R. Solis and Gloria Solis. Rebecca was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. She leaves behind her husband Joel, son Joel Jr., mother Gloria Solis, siblings Luis Solis Jr. (husband to Eudelia Solis), Rene Solis, Leon Solis (husband to late Sylvia Solis), Yolanda Solis, Noe Solis (husband to Debbie Solis), Elisa Terrazas (wife to Ramon Terrazas) and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Luis R. Solis, and sister-in-law, Sylvia Solis. Rebecca, known by loved ones as “Becky,” grew up in South Dos Palos. She was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ in 1978 in the Church of Dos Palos, CA by Pastor Francisco Castro. She enjoyed being in the youth department and going to sector and district services. Becky graduated from Dos Palos High School in 1983. She met her loving husband, Joel Rodriguez, in 1998, and they married on February 19th, 2000. Together they had a son Joel Salomon Rodriguez, who she nicknamed “Bito,” or more affectionately, “Beetee.” She had wholehearted love for her son and was always very dear to her husband, both of whom will miss her tremendously. 

To my Dear Wife Becky, You left me too soon. I always thought you would be by my side and with me in every tomorrow. I wanted to do more for you, to give you a better and more comfortable life, but couldn’t. My heart is broken. I’ll be crying for you for a very long time. I will never forget your comforting touch, the way you would hold my hand and tell me “It’s okay baby, don’t worry.“ I always found comfort in your true and honest love. There’s no consolation for losing you, I’m left with an empty space without you that will never be replaced. I will always love you.
