Sylvia - Solis

Sylvia Solis, 57, passed away peacefully on March 5th, 2020 at Mercy Medical Center in Merced surrounded by her family. She was born December 19th, 1962 in Weslaco, Texas to Joe and Josie Munoz. Sylvia was a beloved wife, daughter, mother, grandmother and sister. She is survived by her mother, Josie, her husband, Leo (honey), her three children, Laura (darling), GooGoo (Sonny) and Crystal (baby). She was a mother-in-law to Stephanie Solis, Josh Rangel and soon to be mother-in-law to Edgar, or “E” as she liked to call him, as well as a loving great-grandma to her ocean-eyed Camila. She is also survived by her brother Joey and was preceded in death by her father Joe.

Sylvia was an Early Head Start and Preschool teacher for 20+ years and the Head of Children’s Ministry at Dream Point X Church. She was very hardworking and the best mother and grandmother around. She enjoyed spending time with her grandbaby Camila, watching crime & suspense movies, and playing lottery games; always with her husband Leo by her side. The high school sweethearts were married for 36 years and exemplified the true meaning of love to everyone around them. She will be remembered for her calming nature, unconditional kindness and big heart. Her spirit lives on within those blessed to know her.

Our family extends an invitation to the celebration of our mother’s life on Saturday, March 14, 2020 @ 9:30am which will take place at Dream Point X church (DPX) at 8336 W. Christian Avenue, Dos Palos, Ca followed by burial at Dos Palos Cemetery 1800 Elgin Avenue in Dos Palos. Thank you, Solis Family.
